Angela Devlen
Angela is the co-founder and current President of Mahila Partnership. Angela is also the Managing Partner at Wakefield Brunswick, Inc (www.wakefieldbrunswick.com), a Healthcare Management Consulting firm. She has 18 years experience in healthcare, operations, and disaster management with several years leading emergency management & business continuity in Boston-based healthcare systems. Throughout her career she has led program management, strategic planning, grant management and education development in emergency management for over 20 hospitals. She has served as an international healthcare disaster preparedness expert for the Provention Consortium and is currently developing the international BCP for Healthcare curriculum for DRII. She has worked with Boston University, UMASS Boston and Cambridge College, supporting curriculum development, research and instruction in emergency management and business continuity.
Angela has held several leadership positions, previously serving on the board of directors of several organizations. She currently serves on the International Benchmarking Advisory Board for BC Management, the Board of Directors for EMPOWER, and she is one of the founding board members of the Business Continuity Planning Workgroup for Healthcare Organizations (BCPWHO).
Angela is a passionate advocate for humanitarian, healthcare and woman’s issues, working on several projects including prevention of violence against women, gender issues in disasters, grassroots education & community development projects. Julie Barron Morrill, CBCP, is managing director of Barron Emergency Consulting.
Julie is the Director and Secretary of Mahila Partnership. She also is a consultant in emergency management and disaster preparedness.
Julie has over 11 years experience in emergency and disaster management in both the public and private sectors. She has assisted industries such as energy, chemical, financial services, and insurance in develop emergency plans and exercises.
In addition to consulting, Ms. Morrill is certified as an Emergency Medical Technician in Massachusetts. She is an active volunteer for the American Red Cross, where she regularly teaches CPR and first aid classes for professional rescuers. In her spare time, Julie enjoys training in Krav Maga (a system of self defense developed in Israel) and running on the wooded trails of New England with her husband, Jeff.
