Education & Research

Through our partnership with the Center for Rebuilding Sustainable Communities after Disasters (CRSCAD) at University of Massachusetts, Boston we are collaborating on education development, conferences,  advocating to end violence against women and children, and conducting research and advocacy on sustainable community development by providing key resources to women and their families before and after disasters.

Hygiene Project

The Women in Development Initiative supports women in developing countries by addressing the need for feminine hygiene products and public health education to promote healthy practices and dignity. One of the main contributing factors to gender disparity in education in the developing world is due to the fact that sanitary materials are not available or affordable. Learn more about efforts in public health education, sustainable community development and providing critical resources to women and girls to advance gender equality by contacting us at info@mahilapartnership.org

Project SOAR: A Mahila and TEMS partnership

Strengthening organizational resiliency through strategic mentorship. Project SOAR would strengthen organizational resiliency through strategic mentorships and enable local organizations to better be able to achieve mission success. Project SOAR would enable often over-committed organizations to not only consider, but respond to, rapid changes in their operating landscape. Through ‘leadership in crisis’ workshops and forums, the same type of essential wisdom provided to the most powerful corporations and government agencies would be shared with grassroots organizations. The goal of Project SOAR is to provide strategic guidance that will enable local organizations to rapidly reposition themselves now and for the future… to effectively regroup in time for the next crisis. Here we aim to provide ongoing support remotely and on the ground with respect to healthcare, gender issues, special needs populations, sheltering and/or post disaster reconstruction.

We can use a catastrophe as a catalyst for positive change.
